Can you share about your work and your impending solo exhibition?
For a lot of yrs my concept has been transformation: times of flux when new varieties are born. I make levels that mix a lot of media – pastel, color pencil, ink, paint, collage – evoking the co-existence of distinct meanings in the similar kind. My sculptures continue on this theme: combining fragments of drawings with observed elements- branches, bark, bones, rusted steel.

In my studio, I surround myself with a collection of scavenged animal and plant ephemera that inevitably finds its way into my hybrid forms. I am drawn to these supplies by the expressiveness of their styles and their symbolic top quality. A hollow twisted branch can evoke grace, tragedy, resilience. I feel a reverence for the spirit and memory contained in a skull, a feather, a twisted shell: they include traces of background, of different species, of a landscape.
You have studied in France. How did that effects your artistic path ?
Yrs ago, I expended a 12 months finding out with a Chilean émigré in Paris, Alfredo Echeverria. It was a moment when I was in transition from my first everyday living as a clinical psychologist, but I did not still know that.
