Jason Momoa to Star in, Write Hawaiian History Drama Series ‘Chief of War’ at Apple

Jason Momoa is established to star in, write, and government generate the drama collection “Chief of War” for Apple, Wide variety has learned.

The collection follows the story of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous stage of look at. Apple has specified the show an eight-episode purchase.

Momoa will write together with Thomas Pa’a Sibbett. Both also provide as executive producers, as will Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Erik Holmberg, and Doug Jung. Jung is also attached to serve as showrunner. Justin Chon is in negotiations to immediate the very first two episodes. Endeavor Articles and Chernin Entertainment will develop.

“Chief of War” is now the 2nd Apple series led by Momoa. He currently stars in “See,” about a submit-apocalyptic future in which almost all remaining people have misplaced their sense of sight. The exhibit aired its 2nd time in 2021 and has now been renewed for a third.

This will also mark the first time Momoa, who is of Hawaiian descent, has composed for tv. He previously co-wrote, directed, and starred in the movie “Road to Paloma,” which was unveiled in 2014. He and Pa’a Sibbett also co-wrote the tale for the approaching aspect “The Previous Manhunt,” with Momoa appearing onscreen in a supporting position. Momoa starred in the element “Braven” in 2018, which was co-penned by Pa’a Sibbett.

Momoa is identified for his roles in reveals like “Game of Thrones,” “Frontier,” and “See” as well as for movies like “Aquaman” and “Justice League,” “Dune,” and “The Undesirable Batch.”
