Timothy Turenne and Joanna Maney are the winners of the state’s Activity Chicken Stamp Art Contest, the state Department of Land and All-natural Resources’ Division of Forestry and Wildlife declared Wednesday.

Turenne was the winner of the video game bird stamp that depicted the chukar partridge, a popular activity hen introduced to Hawaii in 1923. Turenne has received much more than 20 art stamp contests because turning into a total-time wildlife artist in 2006, according to a news release.

Maney was the winner of the conservation stamp depicting the ‘i’iwi, a honeycreeper that is federally mentioned as threatened statewide. She has participated in volunteer and fowl rehab systems considering the fact that her early teens and grew to become enamored with native species in Hawaii following first observing an ‘i’iwi in 2017. She at this time lives in Honolulu with her spouse and two sons.
