The board introduced Thursday the dissolution of the symphony and claimed it will file for Chapter 7 individual bankruptcy.
“The property of the symphony now lie in the fingers of a trustee who will liquidate them, pay back what lenders remains, and near the doors,” the board stated in a assertion on its internet site.
The selection comes on the heels of an ongoing strike from symphony musicians that commenced in September 2021 right after an impasse was declared in agreement negotiations amongst the Symphony Culture of San Antonio and the nearby chapter of the American Federation of Musicians.
Equally sides struggled to strike a offer that features aggressive wages while also addressing the symphony’s economic struggles that have persisted for several years.
Labor negotiations commenced in January of 2021, and the past bargaining session was held on March 8, 2022.
