Batavia Public Library hosts an art exhibit by local photographer John Stark


This month, Batavia Community Library hosts an art exhibit by community photographer John Stark, a longtime Sugar Grove resident.

Stark started his lifelong desire in photography as a little one when his cousin gave him his old Zeiss Ikon movie camera. He started a slow changeover from movie to electronic in 2004.

When he is fundamentally self-taught, Stark has taken a couple of images classes. He pictures regularly with two good friends or on his possess almost every day. His most loved image topics are landscapes, wildlife, persons, and avenue images. He has photographed extensively in Kane County, all-around the place, and over and above.

The exhibit features pictures that show Stark’s interest in black and white illustrations or photos.

The photos portray men and women, destinations, and matters that Stark identified exciting and that centre on the interaction of gentle and line and adverse place to isolate components within the body.

The exhibit runs by May possibly 31 and may be considered on the library’s Art Wall in the course of standard library hrs.

The Batavia General public Library is at 10 S. Batavia Ave. Hrs are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is absolutely free.

Stark is a member of the Aurora Art League, the pictures group, The Monochromists, and the American Association of Instructors of German. Framed prints are offered for acquire.

Proceeds from the sale of the shots will be donated to the Pupil Scholarship Endowment of the American Association of Teachers of German.
